Laurence Smith has been registered with the General Osteopathic Council since 2008 after completing four years full time training at the Surrey Institute Osteopathic Medicine.
He has practiced in London, Surrey and Monaco. He is the Principle practitioner at Ashford Osteopathy. He also saw patients at the Royal Automobile Club for 7 years.
Laurence has continued his professional development by completing post graduate courses in tissue repair and electrotherapy, proprioceptive strapping and cranial sacral therapy. In 2019 he also participated in the Osteopathic Development Group Leadership Programme with the General Osteopathic Council and Open University.
Also a Swimming Coach, Laurence has trained to apply the Alexander technique to the principles of swimming, particularly with adults. Patients can expect to be given stretches and exercises to promote better alignment. His professional and warm demeanour helps identify his patient’s discomfort using his diagnostic and Osteopathic techniques.
With a healthy appetite for exercise, Laurence utilizes the same enthusiasm to promote his patient’s recovery.
